Atif Hines who died from suicide August 31, 2007. My Brother’s Keepers seeks to
provide tangible resources to save lives so that suicide will not prevail.
M.B.K. strives to remain a consistent support netw ork that people can depend
on and relate to within the urban environment. We offer hope to communities
through suicide prevention conferences, encouraging concerts, and relevant

Peer to peer support group for survivors of SIDS/SUDC. The first
Tuesday of every month at 7pm. Join us to talk, vent, or just listen
to others, knowing you are not alone in this journey.

The group is for mothers whose adult children have died as a result of
“risky behaviors.” The group provides a safe space for Moms to talk with each other
about feelings related to the death of their child, to exchange ideas about
coping with other people’s reactions to the child’s death, and to support one
another as they navigate their individual grief journeys. Deaths may have resulted from drug or alcohol use, car crash, suicide attempt, or other accidental or deliberate behaviors.
Group meets every other Wednesday with no meetings in June, July and August

Chapter-in-formation meeting for the Delaware Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will be held on Thursday, January 16th at 6pm. The meeting will take place at the Dover Economic Development office’s conference room, located at 101 W. Loockerman St., Dover, DE 19904. The eastern division director of the AFSP lead the meeting and help us begin the formation of this important chapter. She will be able to answer specific questions about the AFSP, as well able to help us with questions about local programming.
